Now on DVD!
Firstly, the serious part: No matter how much we want to see some of our favourite TV shows and movies on DVD, there seems to be a problem; Nobody's doing it, and our canceric problem with digital pirates seems to hinder us from enjoying our first season TV shows in a straight viewing. So the piracy problem is this serious, huh?
Now the fun part: Name some of the local TV shows you want to see on DVD/VCD.

Oh, and don't forget to include your favourite scenes.
First Season on DVD now!
Iskul Bukul - The beginning for the Escalera brothers and their shy but briliant friend Vic Ongassis as they enter their first year at Wanbol U. fit shirts, belbottoms, and big hair galore!
Plaza 1899 - That channel 9 sitcom post John en Marsha wherein Dolphy plays a barangay captain, whose constituents include comedy geniuses Panchito, Don Pepot, Babalu, a very young Brod Pete, and guitar god Minyong. Never again did these great comedians work with each other after this.
The best of Penthouse Live Performances
Dancetime with Chito - It's probably nice to see these folks retro-dancing their way to corn and camp.

More of my wishful thinking DVD's:
Panday: The Animated Series - Yeah, sure. It's corny and cheesy, it's badly drawn like cardboard cutouts, but it fleshes out the Panday mythos quite well... I think. Besides, it's the ONLY Philippine animated show ever serialized in the Philippines.
Starzan: The Series - Post Rene Requiestas, but the jokes remain a bit funny. They replaced Cheetaeh with a lookalike.
Bubble Gang Classics - or how about a collection of Michael V's MTB and MEV music videos? And the classic "Banjo" joke. I still smirk when I remember Ogie.
The Best of TODAS and/or TVJ - Drew Arellano's Retro TV doesn't do it for me. Those short exerpts just doesn't satisfy my retro cravings... I miss TODAS' Ala-eh Team and Val and Jimmy's Marikina Vice.
John en Marsha - Of course, the long-running family sitcom deserves a DVD release. Though I doubt a re-digitizing of the foggy series might be costly.
wish ko lang maglabas din ng dvd ang encantadia!!!
